Outdoor Details
There is a limited area for camping next to the cabin. Plenty of firewood available.
River flows by the camping area.
Indoor Details
The Log Cabin is situated in the heart of the Slieve Bloom Mountains some 3 miles off the main road.
The cabin can accommodate 20 persons in 2 dormitories and 2 Leader rooms.
There is also a kitchen/dining room with a fireplace for heat.
A generator supplies power for the cabin. Toilets available.
Activities
The area provides some of the best activity area for putting your Scout/Guide skills into practice.
It is ideal for pioneering,orienteering, hiking, biviving, nature study and tracking.
