It was an unforgettable day for the Howth Scout Group when celebrity chef Donal Skehan himself stepped into the kitchen… or should we say, the Scout Den!
Donal visited the Scouts to share his culinary expertise and cook up a storm in a style that's perfect for camping: a hearty "one-pot" pasta dish!
The Scouts learned that with just a handful of ingredients, they could prepare a delicious, comforting meal with minimal equipment, making it ideal for campouts and adventure-filled weekends.
But the fun didn’t stop there. As part of the day’s celebrations, the Scouters took the opportunity to officially invest Donal into the Howth Scout Group. The ceremony was a heartfelt moment as Donal received his official scarf.
It was a day full of fun, food, and new friendships, a true celebration of both culinary passion and the spirit of Scouting.
