Social media is a great way for young people to learn, connect with friends and have fun. But what happens when this content is not true or doesn’t give the full picture? Do you know false information when you see it?
As part of the It’s Our Social Media campaign, young people across Ireland are coming together to stop the spread of anti-LGBTQ+ misinformation on social media.
Throughout March, Belong To are calling on young people to stop online misinformation in its tracks by following the steps Pause. Question. Confirm.
Pause: Am I getting the full story?
Question: Is it clear where this information is coming from?
Confirm: Can I verify this using a reliable new source?
