Lisburn and Castlereagh Council marked Founders Day on February 22nd by illuminating Lagan Valley Island and Union Bridge in red and black to honour 9th Antrim Scouts Lisburn. This followed a successful Founders Day event at the Island Arts Centre, attended by both Scouting Ireland and Scouts NI groups from Lisburn.
The 9th Antrim Scouts, the longest-serving scout group in Lisburn, were celebrated for their dedication to community service and environmental efforts. Councillor Nancy Eaton praised their work, saying, "This illumination honours their hard work and encourages future generations to continue the legacy of unity and compassion that Scouting represents."
A big bravo to the 9th Antrim Scouts for hosting a fantastic event to promote Scouting and celebrate our founder!
