Dear Youth Members, Dear Scouters
Great news for all Youth Members and their Programme Scouters, waiting long for review of the Youth Programme. The challenge was accepted by group of volunteers and work is due to start.
The team will take into account the outcomes from 2017 Programme Review and will also consider changes that happened in ScoutingIreland and the world around us since then.
Everybody heard a joke about “just an hour a week” – if you a re in the den every week, it is probably your most important hour of the week.And you are regularly practicing Plan-Do-Review. So, for sure you have an opinion, what is working and what could be improved. And if you are regularly supporting programme delivery as member of a county or provincial team, you have heard as many opinions, as many units you work with.
It is a chance for you to be heard!

While the recruitment for the core team is still in progress, you can get involved in the review process in many ways. You can attend workshops in person, that will be run on provincial and national events, you can fill individual surveys or get feedback from youth members in your sections.

Joining Core Team
The recruitment for the core team is still in progress, we are looking for people supporting programme at group, county or provincial level, or having experience as Youth Reps on any level.
The core team will be coordinating data collection from various sources, some of it has been already gathered by other teams. The team will analyse that data, in collaboration with other national teams and in consultation with experts, to identify barriers, challenges and successes, will evaluate effectiveness of existing tools and resources.
Together with wider community of programme scouters and youth members the core team will formulate recommendations for changes and action plans, short term and long term.
