On the 28th of July 2022, in a historic move, the UN declared a healthy environment a human right as climate change, nature and biodiversity loss, and pollution and waste impact communities around the world.
This midterm let's work together! From the 31st of October to the 6th of November, Scout Groups have been tasked with a challenge to form Nature Patrols! This project is open to all Groups interested in setting a leadership challenge for their Scout Group within their own community or in our campsites to get outside and get active in protecting and promoting nature. Ongoing programme resources will be coming out in the next few weeks.
Groups may apply for €250 to kick-start your project!
If you would like to get outside of the Den, we have an opportunity for programme activities to restore nature in our shared space, Larch Hill. We will be adding more locations to the list on an ongoing basis.
All you need is interest to get involved and we will match you with a pond!
