The Scouting Ireland Trainers Conference hosted by the Volunteer and Group Support Department was held at the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise on Sunday 21st of January 2024. A substantial amount of planning and work went into the organising of the event by the Training Operations Team of Alison Parle, Bernadette Brennan and Declan Condon.
This significant event was attended by a total of 54 Trainers from across all 6 Provinces along with the National Training Team Lead, Michael Dempsey and the Manager of the Volunteer and Group Support, Neil Collins.
The purpose of the conference was to gather Trainers to provide updates, share ideas and provide an opportunity to ask questions in relation to training. The packed day included a variety of workshops and guest speakers that provided Trainers with relevant insights to support them in their roles.
